Performance
Each of the six Kia Sportage trim levels has the same powertrain: a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The system produces 187 horsepower. Most trims offer front-wheel or all-wheel drive, but the top two Sportage trim levels come with standard all-wheel drive.
The Sorento’s LX and S trim levels are outfitted with a 191-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both also come with front-wheel drive. The remaining trim levels draw 281 horsepower from a 2.5-liter turbo, four-cylinder gas engine. This engine is linked to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The X-Line and SX Prestige trim levels have standard all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The Sportage is easy on the eyes with an athletic flow across the profile. The sides express power with raked windows and a confident swell that begins along the lower door panels and rounds over the back haunches. The boxy grille is styled with a rectangular pattern, and vertical headlights accompany it on the flanks. An amber LED accent ribbon enhances the headlights on two sides.
The Sorento’s exterior dimensions ensure ample cargo room and seating space across all three rows. The tall roof makes a subtle descent toward the rear while the sides have horizontal contouring, and the fenders are subtly defined. The rectangular grille is mounted above a comparably shaped bumper. The vertical, V-shaped headlights are styled with an LED bar and a series of stacked LED bumpers. A light, amber-colored LED ribbon shoots across the top of the headlights.

The 2026 Sportage is loaded with great features, including driver’s memory settings, heated seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, reclining rear seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen, a surround-view camera, a navigation system, a Harman Kardon sound system, remote start, and others.
The Sorento has many of these features and is also offered with a household power outlet, rear window sunshades, a Bose sound system, a blind-spot camera, second-row captain’s chairs, and several additional features.
