 What’s New for the 2026 Kia Carnival?

The brilliantly designed Kia Carnival is a minivan with SUV-like qualities and exciting features. This popular model received a refresh in 2025, so there are no updates to the 2026 model year. It continues to be available in five trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Every 2026 Kia Carnival is powered by the same engine that moved the 2025 Carnival. This is a V6, 3.5-liter powertrain that produces 290 horsepower. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard for all Carnival trim levels.

The 2026 Carnival’s aesthetics are pleasing from every angle. The model sports a long, flat roof, ensuring substantial passenger seating and cargo space. The steeply angled front windshield and short, arched hood add an aerodynamic element. The sliding side doors are styled with deep contouring and thick lower-body molding. Across the Carnival’s front end, the wide grille has a bow-tie shape with squared-off corners. An amber LED light bar rises vertically on the flanks of the headlights and bends horizontally to top a portion of the grille. Exterior features that are standard or available on the Carnival include laminated second-row windows, up to 19-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, roof rails, and power-folding side mirrors.

Inside, the Carnival’s base trim level is loaded with a six-speaker sound system, a three-zone auto climate control system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a keyless ignition, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, an 8-inch infotainment system screen, lane keeping, a blind-spot warning, parking sensors, lane centering, and others. The Carnival’s higher trim levels are also offered with quiet mode for the sound system, a cabin intercom, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a dual-pane sunroof, rear passenger cameras, a household power outlet, rear auto braking, a surround-view camera, lounge seats, a head-up display, a digital rearview camera, and more.
